Emergency & Pandemic Preparedness

presented by  Dr. Robert Strang, Nova Scotia Chief Medical Officer

Join BOMA Nova Scotia on March 26th for a special presentation by Nova Scotia’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Robert Strang. Dr. Strang will be discussing the important role of the commercial real estate industry in emergency preparedness and response.

In today’s interconnected world commercial buildings bring together tenants, visitors and employees. With this in mind, the measures commercial landlords take to communicate good health practices, prevent the spread of illnesses and manage outbreaks of both routine and novel diseases are key. Dr. Strang will discuss what can be done on a regular basis to promote safe and healthy workplaces and buildings, how to enhance those measures during times of more serious outbreaks, and the role that the commercial real estate industry can play when health and other emergency situations arise. In addition Dr. Strang will give an update on the  COVID-19 virus.
