Presented by David Lea, CBCL

Join BOMA Nova Scotia on November 17th for a timely session on carbon taxes. Our guest speaker David Lea will discuss many of the questions currently being asked, including:

  • Why put a price on carbon?
  • What carbon pricing methods are there? – carbon taxes and cap and trade systems
  • What carbon pricing systems are being used in other jurisdictions?
  • What has Nova Scotia been doing up until now?
  • Should Nova Scotian carbon reduction efforts be recognized, and how?
  • What is the potential impact of a carbon tax on energy prices in Nova Scotia?
  • What mitigation strategies could be implemented for building owners?

Our guest speaker David Lea is the Manager of CBCL’s Energy Services Division and a Senior Mechanical/Energy Engineer. He has completed numerous energy studies of industrial, commercial and institutional facilities, and renewable energy projects involving solar, wind, biomass, and earth energy, both in Nova Scotia and abroad.
