BOMA NOVA SCOTIA 2025 AWARDS PROGRAM

BOMA Nova Scotia’s Board of Directors is happy to announce that we are re-launching our Local Awards program for 2025!

You will find the award information necessary for each of the categories being offered as well as the BOMA Canada Award program official document for each (use the links shown or download the attached PDF files).

These documents will allow to understand the programs and to determine which award programs you will wish to pursue! Then it is time to compete! Best of luck!

Our Awards

Emerging Leader Award
The Emerging Leader Award recognizes individuals within the Commercial Real Estate Industry who have demonstrated excellence, is a team leader and is aspiring to be the next leaders in the profession. The award recognizes Leadership, Initiative, and/or Services to the commercial real estate community. The award will be presented to individuals 35 years of age or younger who have showed significate contribution to their organizations and /or within the Commercial Real Estate Industry.

*BOMA Nova Scotia’s winner in this category will be eligible to compete at the National level. National Entry Deadline July 15, 2025. Click on the link below to learn more and to register!

2025 Emerging Leader Award


Member of the Year Award
The BOMA Nova Scotia Member of the Year Award honours a member of our local association who has demonstrated leadership, initiative, and/or service to the commercial real estate community. The award recognizes activity during the previous calendar year (2024), rather than service rendered over many years.

*BOMA Nova Scotia’s winner in this category will be eligible to compete at the National level culminating at BOMEX Halifax 2025. National Entry Deadline July 15, 2025. Click on the link below to learn more and to register!

Pinnacle Awards
The Pinnacle Awards recognize Standards of Excellence displayed by BOMA Nova Scotia member companies. Pinnacle Awards acknowledge innovation, teamwork, outstanding customer service and commitment to clients.

*BOMA Nova Scotia winners in each category will be eligible to compete at the National level, culminating at BOMEX Halifax 2025!

Elaina Tattersdale Sustainability Champion Award
The Elaina Tattersdale Sustainability Champion Award aligns with BOMA Canada’s efforts to reduce consumption of resources, boost recycling and enhance wellness within commercial real estate. This special award is aimed to encourage those in the industry to improve the environmental footprint that commercial and institutional buildings have on our world. The award acknowledges the outstanding efforts and achievements of the “unsung heroes” who are championing sustainability at any level within their organization and/or across the commercial real estate community.

TOBY Award & Certificate OF EXCELLENCE
BOMA’s Certificate of Excellence program recognizes excellence in property and facility management.  Certification acknowledges commitment to best practices in building performance, quality of building management and the people behind it. Buildings must meet standards in building management, operations, environmental/ energy/emergency management, design, tenant and community relations, tenant satisfaction and personnel training.
The TOBY Award is presented to the highest scoring building in each category. For further information regarding each Building Category Award kindly refer to the linked Award instructions below:
